The week after I posted the entry on the Latin Fish I received a letter with no return address at my post office box. Inside was the following cryptic message.
So what do you do when you get a freaky note that looks to have been written by a crazed maniac? Well if you run a web site called Freakylinks you obviously follow up on it. I wrote up a list of questions and sent it off to the e-mail address. The next day I had my reply. As you will read, it really cleared up a lot of questions. (Insert sarcastic theme music here)
Note: Evidently the raising of your consciousness to a higher level does
not mean you spell any better. I have left the mistakes in as I got
them.

>>Hiya,
>>
>>Got your well-written note. Thought I would drop you a line and see if you can't clear
>>some things up for my readers. You can answer any or none of them as you see fit.
>>
>>1. Who are you?
>>We are a group trying to awaken a deeper level of conciousness among
>>ourselves and others. Normal means of communication are useless in this quest and
>>so we turned to other methods of delivering our message.
>>
>>2. Why did you write "I Tego Arcana Dei" on the side of a fish?
>>For the simple reason that the message is true. In our findings we have found the
>>secrets of what you would call "God." BY stating this in a way that was bound to
>>arouse curiosity among those that found it we were assured of reaching a target
>>auidence that would be receptive to our thoughts and deeds. The article on your
>>website is confirmation that our actions were correct
>>
>>3. Did you do this to more than one fish? If so, how long have you been doing it?
>>Recent discoveries into the hidden aspects of the human theology and
>>conciousness lead us down the path we have taken. We took our message to the sea
>>no less than 200 times before our actions were noticed. This action took us 1 week
>>
>>4. Have you written the phrase on other things besides a fish?
>>NO, this messgae is enough
>>
>>5. Is there some deeper meaning behind the phrase than the ones I
>>discovered? (the Shepherds of Arcadia painting and the Mystery of Rennes-Le Chateau)
>>Nicholas Poussin stumbled upon the edge of the truth in his dealings with the Vatican.
>>He promished not to reveal it but his soul was gnawed away by the knowledge it
>>contained. The painting of the "Shepherds of Arcadia" was a way for him to ease his
>>pain. The same can be said of the priest of Rennes-Le Chateau. Through misfortune
>>he too saw the truth and it drove him mad. The peculair archectective of his church is
>>blatent evidence of that. We also have fealt this fear, this madness trying to consume
>>us. Perhaps that is partly the reason we used such unorthodox measures to pass the
>>measure on. At times it grows hard for us to seperate the truth we know from the false
>>reality that rules the world.
>>
>>6. What were you hoping to accomplish by writing it on a fish?
>>To inform others. To set them down the path of the truth. What is known can not be
>>told on an infomercial or a ad in the Sunday paper. It requires freee thought and the
>>perhaps the surrender of freewill. Once that is accomplished then the rest will follow.
>>You have to only set forth on the path. The path will take you the rest of the way.
>>
>>Thanks for your time and if there is anything else you want to say or add, feel free.
>>Only that the secrets are not for everyone. Only those wishing to know the deeper
>>truths should attempt to follow in our footsteps. Chaos and misery lurk for those to
>>hesitent to walk the line once it has been shown to them. There is no half-way point.
>>No seperation from the truth. There is power here but there is also more.

Like I said, it really clears up a lot huh?
I've tried to contact them again but my e-mails have been ignored. If anyone in the San Fransico area has heard of this group, drop me a line.
