Haxan | Films

« Reply #15 on: January 24, 2004, 03:47:48 PM »

I have a geocities question for all you all. I am a screenwriter/novelist/etc and I moderate a discussion board. One of my pet peeves is users posting copyrighted material. I am always arguing with those who believe that anything online is free.

My understanding is tha the freaklinks.com site had to come down because of Fox not wanting to pay royalties to the actors and writer. (I am also a member of SAG)  How were you able to keep the geocities site up? Is it because geocities agreement stated that anything posted at a geocitie's site belonged to geocites?

Thanks and it is wonderful to see Haxan more visible to the public.  My boss was just talking to me about the NYC times article about the Blair Witch curse of Haxon not having made any new films. Tchaw.

Last scattered thoughts before I go; reemco.com made my list of ten favourite websites and blogs for the Mobtown Shank .  And I was in Blair Witch Two but please don't hold that against me.

I don't think the html code is gonna work-- but here's the Fever's old list of Freakylinks links... (echo?) I'm not sure they are all still active. Back in the Fever days, this was every Freaker-site I could find, or knew about.

http://www.phreakylinx.com/
PhreakylinX -- not to be confused with Phreakylinks or Freakylinx.. who I think, are both gone.

Hello all.  It's Amelia/Mia of phreakylinx.com.  Just thought I'd drop in and say hello.  I'll mainly be lurking since I'm a full time student and keep pretty busy with that (hence the reason phreakylinx really hasn't been updated) but I keep it online just the same.  Maybe I'll have time to jazz it up a little this summer.  Aight well, good to see Freakylinks is still alive in some ways :D

hey backgroundgrrl. as far as I know, the freakylinks site is not still up. I see that monsterfreaks is still up and not really sure why that is but, regardless, monsterfreaks doesn't contain any materials from the show and would not be a SAG or WGA issue.

Hello, freakyfans. My name is Armando and been a fan of the show since I seen the previews for it. My question to those who created the show and anyone else. What happens to the files to the freakylinks website? Does FOX throw them away? Just been on my mind for a while.

Yeah, do you guys have them in storage somewhere or something? I know I'd like a few of those videos from the site. You people could make an awesome FL fan site if you still had the files.

Lins to explain the disappearance of my site lets explain it like this...

i don't really know, we were having huge problems with shaw (our local internet provider) and we didnt renew the www.seektheunknown.com domain so there are main factors and ole Cyrus hass been working on other sites so that prevented him from doing my stuff but now cy and myself are working once again to get our production company online so some day we may be back online

Lin, if they had the files it would be easier for them to take the entire site out of hiding and just restore it on the net for people to see.  Less time consuming than making a fan site with the files.  They are out there.

And as for YOU, MikeyB.  Where is that damn site.  Its been HOW many years since you had your idea for it? hmm?! I demand my money back!

DAMN EMOTICON!

Hey if there are any files missing I've got everything but the message boards from the original freakylinks.com site.

Question: Is Haxan/GMD Studios allowed to start up the freakylinks.com site again, if so desired or has FOX pretty much got a clamp on all of that. Sorry if this has been asked before.

P/A it wasn't just my fault its all that damn Cyrus-x's fault he was/is the site designer, and everything techy. i just did the writing, the videos, the pictures, and investigating like the "hidebehinds"

wait are talking about bn6? we have changed the design once again and i finally have enough fucking movies to put on it to keep it going

hey guys,
well this is really cool
hello haxan gang! thank u so much for creating a freaky links board and expanding the freaky link community!
ive always been a paranormal fan and ever since i saw the first episode of freaky links i have been obsessed with the website and the show! i was seriously crushed when the show was cancelled and was even more upset to find that so was the website.
it is great to see freaky link fans creating websites and message boards to keep the freakiness alive. all of u are like a second family and i hope to expand that family. thanks for creating the board. it is a great idea to talk to other freaky link fans.

I don't think FOX would allow them to put it back up. They'd probably sue since they made them take it down in the first place.

Sue??!!??  Whoah-ho-ho-ho-ho! No need to use such harsh language. We're just theorizing on a hypothesis, see?

Pfft.  Probably would, Lin.  No fears.  Have McDonalds spill coffee in THEIR laps and take their attention off of FL.

Maybe we should sue FOX for taking off freakylinks, haha. It might work considering the thought of what crap people can sue anybody for. One guy sued the cable company (I think it was the cable company) for making his family fat and lazy (apparently their minds were just too empty and overpowered to even think of turning the TV off).  Didn't one other guy sue himself? Or better, we can sue the TV networks for making crappy reality shows so famous. But, I'd rather benefit freakylinks. The site going down really disappointed a lot of people, and I think FOX really made a lot of them angry. I think they should get sued for that. It wasn't right.

Well, I'm not the sueing type, but it's a friendly thought. I do know that we NEED to get FL back in some form!
