Post-Production Milestone

Greetings from the Edit Bay (okay, well I'm actually at home now).

Today marks a historic day.  I sent the last reel's cut list off to the negative cutter.  Our wonderful neg cutter (along with his team) have been hard at work for several weeks gently slicing the negative and gluing the scenes together in some space age clean room.  We have been awaiting one last big effect shot in the last reel to complete the film, and it finally arrived today.

It has been a long journey, and I have probably seen every frame more times than you could imagine, but it was sad to see the last of my children ... I mean reels ... move on to its next stage of life.

Now just a few days left to back-up our files and finish up some paperwork and turn out lights in the edit bay.

Now that's devotion... I don't know if I'd even hook up my kids with that help at this stage... besides the fact that they're determined to be little bastards... did I mention Alex is hinting about the care and usage of the dread lock?  not to mention he has a girlfriend and thinks he's a straight pimp, at 12.

and Emma watches MTV just to catch the video of teeny little Bow Wow with his teeny little shirt off...

its no wonder I've turned to finnish rock music to cope... here's a picture of the proof (okay, I lied, I have no clue how to even post the url - this does not bode well for my Altered site) especially since when we all met he was 6 years old and looked like this (again, a lie - no picture... its stuck in space).
