Whats up Haxan, new to the board but big fan of the first film. Just wondering what the story is with what I heard about Lions Gate and the possible making of the third film. Im sure yall are busy in Jamlando (as the local radio station calls it)  but this news is great to hear and alot of people are excited. I go to school in Gainesville and there is alot of interest about a third film for the franchise. So any news or update would be none other than Fantastic. Go Gators!

Welcome, Peidmont.  My cousins went to UF in Gainesville as well.  For info on some of the current projects the guys are working on, check out the front of the site and clicky clicky on some of those links on the left.  There's lots of good stuff to see, and more coming Smiley

Nothing official to report at this time, unfortunately.

Trust me, if there is news, we'll post it!

Thanks for the reply Mike! Keep up the good work and I will continue to throw back cheap brews here in Gainesville in anticipation for the new movie, or just for an excuse to be an alcoholic.

I'm especially fond of the beginning bit about Elly.  Creepy Creepy.

Yeay - little umbrellas!  Grin

Yeah, I'm wound up about the whole prequel idea.  I've been jonesing for the story of Elly for a long time.  It's the backbone of the Blair Witch Project.

The story of Elly is intriguing and tragic.  And far-reaching...

I've always been in the minority about the prequel. If it's about ole elly and christians burning her, not to exciting for me. And it's much more interesting if it's all a mystery.

I'm late in reading this update - I'm so excited about it! Let's all cross our fingers and our stickmen and hope they say YES!! Cheesy

I'm so relieved that the idea is for a prequel. I really don't think that anything else would really work. It's great that you guys are taking the story back to it's origin, when it all began..

I agree 'witch' yas wholeheartedly, EO.  The prequel is the ticket.

I have all kinds of faith in our talented Haxan posse, but a sequel is much more difficult and hard to imagine how to do effectively.  NOT that it could never happen, mind you - in the future.   Cheesy

Who knows what BW2 would have have been with the Haxan vision?  Interesting idea.

The prequel is key to the Blair Witch story.  It is the backstory that drives the car.  It's so important - and it will be most cool if this thing works out.

Yep.  Cool

I never could quite master the cartwheel.. though I was pretty damned good at the forward roll.  Except after a while I felt like i was going to break my neck every time I did it.  I don't know why, exactly... hmm.

I can also do damn good splits without damaging myself.

Me too.  Even when I did gymnastics and ballet, i could not do the splits.  My flexibility was never quite that good.

Maybe that's why I quit those things and took up something that required less bendiness,... like archery.

Elly, put this apple on your head and hold reeeeaaaaalll still Wink

If we get the prequel going I'll do some cartwheels as well as some flips, tumbles, backflips, head stands and belly rolls on video and post it on the site.

What the hell is a belly roll?

It's when you "roll" your abdominal muscles from top to bottom (or vice versa) creating a cool looking undulating effect.  It's a belly dance move.  I used to be able to do it.  I would certainly pay to see Ed do it!

And when I thought my desire for a prequel couldn't be greater, we get this gymnastic promise from Ed.

This just gets better all the time!  Grin

VERY definitely for the prequel. One thing that helped flesh out BWP and BOS was the backstory mythology which was quite involved and the other TV specials also help shape the mythology. now its time for a movie to bring the mythology to life. Woohoo!

And a big hi to EO and Lunasea! Where's Tweek?

I totally agree with you on the prequel, as you know.  Gotta have it, gotta have it.  Let's hope we get it!
