Hey everybody, Freaky Links was and still is my favorite show that ever graced television. The concept and the depth of the storytelling, by utilizing the website to make the whole overall story interactive was brilliant. I've thought for a LONG time I was alone in this opinion, but you guys have changed all that. I found a copy of the complete season recently on Ebay, and having episodes missing from my collection, I decided what the hell, and snagged it up. While the episodes are compressed to fit the discs they are overall watchable, free of commercials, and best of all the entire full run of the show. I have no desire to sell any copies, I can't take money from a freaker, so trade or cost of shipping, like actual cost, not made up ebay shipping. Anyways, glad to see the site again, I missed it, especially after recently watching all the episodes again, and thanks for keeping the best show TV never gave a chance, alive. Bloody Best Wishes Dustin Austen www.projectdoomsday.com

Hey thanks for the warm welcome, I can't tell you how great it was to find this forum, I think I've shown everyone I know this show, and while it was met with some warm reception, no one quite got sucked in like I did, I'm glad there's more of us out there than I thought, for a while I really was ready to belive that NO ONE had ever heard of it, I own a small film production company and let me tell ya, Freaky Links in some way creeps into every project I work on.

SpaceMonkey has given us the address' to whom we need to contact for the Freakylinks DVD to be released. Â Can we get some volunteers to write up a letter? Do some postcard mailings. Put up banners on your website (if you have one). Â We need to pull together to get this done. Â Please look at this website and see what these people are doing to get The Hobbit into production. http://www.thehobbitfilm.com/Late!

To everyone;
It's really good to see everyone coming together to try and get Freakylinks out on a DVD Boxset. The show it self was so much fun to follow and experience. I hope that more fellow Freakers will come out and ban together to help bring this totally unique and wonderful show to DVD. We all live in an age where we can be proud to own such a piece of our great cult TV show history. Come on everyone, we can all do this.

I just emailed FOX on dvd releases and got sent back this email:
Hello,
Fox has no plans to release the title in question at this time. I will forward your request onto our corporate office so they can see what the public would like to see on DVD. You may also contact us in June 2005 for updated new releases. Thank you for contacting us!
Thank you,
Fox Consumer Services
So essentially I am guessing it's a form letter of some sort, though I imagine if enough people email that might let them know that more people are interested in Freakylinks on dvd.

I got my bootleg copy of the show (Sorry, Haxan... but I'll buy a proper one when it comes out). The quality is eh, but it's good just to have the show to watch over and over.
Man that episode with the underground cannibals is awesome. Great show. Wish there could've been more of a resolution to the story, but then again... Haxan is good at making intriguing stories that are meant not to be resolved.
And that is why I like them. A lot. I've got a tatoo and everything.
Okay... maybe not.

Okay Freaks, I have created a letter and a postcard for mailing to Fox as a campaign to get them moving on releasing Freakylinks on DVD. Go to www.phreakylinks.com to download the letter and postcard. I personally will try to send these to FOX as much as I can. Let's start this campaign! Thanks. MondoStrange. PS. They are in the Word format, if anyone needs them as a PDF let me know.

Mondo is totally right. We need to get on this thing and let it be know that we want a DVD set of the episodes. Thing is I'm not completely sure that 20th Century Fox is the one we'll have to convince to release them. Let me explain---- I was out and about browsing the current DVD releases the other week and happened to glance at the Titus complete season 1 & 2 box set. I remembered the show was on FOX and liked what I saw of it, so I decided to give the box a read. Well, total shock set in when I not only saw the 20th Century Fox logo but the Anchor Bay Entertainment logo as well printed on the back. That's when it struck me that Anchor Bay has been in the business of making deals with bigger studios to go in their vaults and get the rights to release some things that the studios don't see any value in. Studios being big tremendous block heads that they are don't see any harm in letting Anchor Bay find what rare gems sell then when the rights period is over, the studios usually release there own version of what titles sold for Anchor Bay. Disney being one example. So there's the Titus box set looking at me and the windmills of my mind are just whirling. A modern FOX TV series on DVD without 20th Century Fox really being involved. So I still think we should continue to bug the crap out of FOX but also nicely ask Anchor Bay if they'd consider a DVD release of FreakyLinks. If you go to Anchor Bay's website, at their "Contact Us" page there's an email address to send suggestions. For suggestions of future releases (no personal replies given): suggestions@anchorbayent.comI've already written them but as it reads, "No personal replies given". Anchor Bay is also very good about "extras" on their DVDs and I suggested that the alternate pilot and maybe material from the website could be included. I also sent a link to the Haxan FreakyLinks archive. It's been said before, but lets get this ball rolling. Write Anchor Bay while you're sending you postcards to Fox and let them all know we want our series. ~Shadow

I em-mailed them... I also sent a link to this petition: http://www.petitiononline.com/Freaker/petition.htmlThere are so many international signatures... this might show that there's a worldwide market for Freakylinks dvds.

Great research Shadow, This is what we need to do. I will post the email address at phreakylinks.com. Also, Shadow can you forward me a copy of your email you sent them. We can use it as a foundation to email Anchor Bay Ent. Thanks.

I've also sent an email to Anchor Bay. It's not as good as your, Shadow, but it shows enthusiasm at least. I'll work on postcards and stuff soon. The postcard up on phreakylinks is just text, right? God, it's been too long since I watched the show... *dusts off FL tapes*
