Freakylinks on dvd would be nice...
I agree. Does ANYBODY know what the status is on the dvd release? I've seen it on Amazon.com, but it's listed under 'currently unavailable' without ANY explanation. Mondo Strange, should we keep sending out more letters / petitions? I'm so confused.... Thank God Chiller tv's, AT LEAST giving the show some airtime. My mother, a cancer survivor, watched this show after her treatments when it first aired on Chiller, and we both fell in love with the show. She and I have been watching it everytime it's scheduled. I sincerely hope that if Chiller continues to air FreakyLinks, that FOX will FINALLY release the show... Garnet, sorry to hear about your mother's fight with cancer. I'm glad she pulled through successfully. And to answer your question to Mondo... YES! By all means, please send in your letters to FOX. The quicker FOX gets the air of cash in their noses, hopefully they'll release a DVD.

@ FreakCentral Okay, I'm on FreakyLinks.tv now, checking out the dvd campaign.... Now please forgive me, for asking a stupid question: " Are all the addresses listed on the dvd campaign still good?" Like I said, I'm sorry for asking such a dumb question. It's just that I REALLY want to see this show go to dvd (I have no means to tape this show, -vhs- OR -dvd-). So I want to make sure my voice is heard, and FOX releases this show. I mean, "Come on...! How hard can it possibly be?" I know SpaceMonkey and another member brought up the possibility of 'music' being an issue. So what? I'm sure there's ways around that...It's nothing that clever editing or redubbing can't fix... LoL sorry guys. I get alittle fired up sometimes...

We have tried sending letter to those addresses with now response from anyone. So in actuality we don't really know if they are good or not. Maybe you can do some snooping around the internet and help us find some new address to write too. That would be cool....

I'll see what I can do Mondo, I'll try doing a little online snooping after work. As far as getting responses, I did get "1" response, I THINK it was from Shout Factory!, they thanked my for my inquiry and said they'd pass it along...it was a while back. Oh yes, and I ALSO wrote to Amazon.com, asking THEM what was going on. Never got an actual answer, but an apology rather. Which is cool. I just hope some like-minded fans with Amazon accounts did the same thing "I" did. http://www.amazon.com/Freakylinks-Complete-Ethan-Embry/dp/B000TGUV9A/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=IPTTLDCLUE9CS&colid=12TPMW979YM0Q I think this is rather cruel, teasing fans like this.... but if you pan further down, you'll see customer reviews for the dvd, and a lot of members are left scratching their heads, wondering what the delay is also.

I just hope some like-minded fans with Amazon accounts did the same thing "I" did. Honestly--- I wouldn't poke at the Amazon people too hard or they may take the whole thing down. I'm of the opinion that as long as the Amazon listing is up, it's a fantastic indicator of the interest level for this show and something to show to any potential distributor. We've got reviews and we've got pictures---- without it, what does FreakyLinks really have to show that there is potential customer interest besides a few "lost in the shuffle" petitions? Amazon being a high profile e-commerce site gives us the best promotion we can hope for. To clarify, there has never been even the merest hint that this series was headed for DVD release. Amazon puts up listings like that because of customer requests for the product. It takes quite a lot of requests to even get on their radar. It's been a very long time and I'm also interested in what FOX's current automated response is to a potential release. The last line they had was that "there are no current plans to release this material. Thank you!" I also got roughly the same "I'll pass your suggestion along" from Anchor Bay and that was from their head of TV to DVD releases. FreakyLinks aired just as technology was transitioning from VHS to DVD. It's starting to look like we'll have to start hoping for a Blu-Ray release at this rate. ~Shadow

I'm waiting for them to just implant a computer chip in our heads that allows us to download TV shows to our minds... put Ray's chip to some good use, am I right?

I can't really recall what their explanation was, but it was enough for me to realize, they really had no control over the issue. So I wrote them a "thank you" reply for the swift response. I plan on doing a little online "digging" the next few days (in between work and my studies) for more contact information. I was thinking about checking out FOX'S official website (if they have one)... I'm open to suggestions guys, as I am new to the whole internet slueth -thing

The Amazon listing is really cool. It is as if they had released it on DVD. The artwork you see is something I came up with to help nudge the public and Fox to do a release. Oh well, we keep trying.

I read the reviews for the Freakylinks dvd, and it sounds as if members on Amazon, have been waiting for the dvd's release for quite some time; it kind of gave me an uneasy feeling. Makes me wonder if this listing is just a "ruse" to get fans to stop sending in letters / petitions ? I really hope that's not the case. But it's like Shadow said: at least they have it listed. Just hope it actually leads to a release.

Oookay.. what the heck is THIS? Found this, looking for the Freakylinks DVD entry on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/FreakyLinks-Frederic-P-Miller/dp/6130828594/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1283613582&sr=8-2-catcorrHigh Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Television show, Horror film, Mystery fiction, Comedy, Fox Network, The X- Files, Universal. FreakyLinks was an American television show that combined elements of horror, mystery, and comedy. It aired on the Fox Network from October 2000 until June 2001, for a total run of 13 episodes. The feel of the show closely modeled that of The X-Files and other supernatural-themed shows that were popular at the time.In 2008, the series began airing on Universal's horror network Chiller. Listed as a paperback, costing $45.00 new. Is this actually just a bound copy of Wikipedia articles about Freakylinks, being sold for $45??? Editied to add... Yup, apparently so. A quick Google search indicates Alphascript Publishing really does just sell printed copies of Wikipedia articles, bound up as as books.. same stuff you can otherwise read for free online. Weird.

Maybe we should buy one and send it to the execs at FOX. Someone get the address and I'll send them the book personally with a nice little business card I received from a Freaky little contest not too long ago.
