Lookit this place, it's a dump!

I had to upgrade the forum software to keep current with the latest security updates, and while I (think I) managed to keep all the posts and accounts, all our lovely formatting is lost.

I'll be working to clean it all up back to normal, but in the meantime, let me know if you find any technical gliches.

Thanks!

You've redecorated....... don't like it.  Wink

Seriously, I'm having major login problems!!  I login, it says I'm logged in, I move to the next page and I'm logged out.  And then, I can't log out.  It's teeth curlingly crazy!!! :-/

Yep,  set to accept cookies before you ask.

This is the 3rd friends computer that I've tried to get logged in correctly on, and the first one that works. Best guess, it has something to do with being incompatible with anything under Windows XP.

Call bluedaniel---  Call Lan Williams----- HELP!!!

You know, shadow... They may be trying to tell you something.    Wink

And yes... I agree about the colors.  It makes me shrivel away in fear.

Ah!  My eyes!  Shocked

Kidding.  This place could use some color anyway.  You should leave it like this.

I'm having some strange log in issues as well, so hang tight while I figure it out.

And the colors, oh the colors.... all I can say is ick.

We will get back to our monochromatic grey as soon as possible, and it might be a call to BlueDaniel I need to make because the forums now use CSS instead of HTML... HTML I get, but this CSS is confusing for an old man like me.

Aside from the baby blues, I couldn't help but notice how small the text is while I write a post...I have to say, it's eye-straining. When I read the posts on the boards it's normal, but whilst I'm writing they tend to be a bit...well...miniscule. Maybe if you guys could take a look into that too, I would much appreciate it.

I do miss the greys as well...not the aliens. This blue is just so shocking...so light...I dunno. It doesn't seem to fit. I remember when FreakyResearch underwent changes...changes to me are bad at first. They changed the color of the boards to a much darker one, and I think it was blue originally. I didn't like it because it was new. So here I am, going through the same thing. But, I do think that the blue doesn't fit haxan. Grey was so inviting...

Did you guys mean to make changed to the way things looked/were arranged, or did it just happen while updating? Because, I'm not saying this is a bad thing, I just noticed and I didn't know if you meant to do it, but my name and number of messages I have is displayed in the middle at the top of the page instead of the upper right hand corner. Just letting you know. You don't need to change it.

Okay, I'm working on trying to get this place back to where it should be. I think I fixed the small text thing, although let me know if you still can't read it.

The look of the forum was reset to the defaults when we upgraded the software, that's why it changed.

I'm still having trouble with some of the settings, but I'm learning as I go, so I'll have this fixed in, uh, no time!   Wink

Hey, Mike m'dear...is it is just my bleary eyed, too-early-in-the-morning confusion or is the direct linking messed up?

I tried the ol' {url=http://www.nbc.com/Medium/about/]LINK

(Altering first tag, so it will actually show up for view.)

And the ...

and nothing.

Just wondering....thanks.

You're doing a great job, btw!   Grin

Hmmmmmm...

Let me test:

http://www.reemco.com -- this is just typing the URL with no tag. It turns it into a link anyways!

http://www.reemco.com
This is using the tag, seems to work fine.

Reemco
- This is using the [url=http://www.etc. tag and it works as well.

Must be those bleary eyes, Luna!   Wink

Well...correct-a-mundo, Mike.

It does work.  I must have been delusional.

Pass the Mai Tais please....

Why yes...it is 6:53 A.M.

Does that matter?   Wink

Hey Mike,

The login problems are still there. This board simply doesn't work with Windows '98.

The login cookie doesn't stay put when you swap pages.

I return now to my imposted exile-- watching-- waiting--  (of course I'm long overdue for an upgrade).

Shadow,

It didn't work for me at first, but I emptied my cookies cache and now everything seems to work just fine.

Try it and let me know. You can also try just deleting the cookies for this forum. They are:

YaBBusername
YaBBpassword

Let me know if that works for you.
