Some munch going by the handle slasherdude69 is selling bootlegs of the Freakylinks series!!

Trading things that aren't commercially available is one thing, maybe even selling them @ cost for fans, but selling for profit is completely out!!

Especially when considering the originators are getting the shaft in this deal.

Just do a refined search on completed items and you'll see at least three sets, in addition to the one which has been withdrawn....

I'm a little confused. I don't quite understand what was going on, and I never knew what the word "bootleg" really meant...except that it's a nice thing to download when you wanna hear a radiohead song you've never heard before.

Bootleg is a term which orginated during the Alcohol prohibition...it came into being because people would hide alcholoic beverages in their boots and I guess cover the top parts up with their pants. Now the term is basically used to describe buying or smuggling something which is illegal...such as video taping a movie in the theatres, or copying an album onto a cd and selling it, etc.

But, back on topic, I would agree that selling bootlegs of freakylinks would be wrong IF there was another way, an official way, of buying the series. But since there is no other way, I don't see it as a problem. And although I own a bootleg of the series, I would still pay top dollar for a freakylinks dvd of sorts.
