Anyone catch this show. It has FreakyLink's old timeslot. It's pretty good. Whats weird is when I watch an episode whenever something weird would happen (which is a lot, with this show) they'd play a sound effect that reminds me a lot of the one they played on FL whenever a Harbinger was near. Funky stuff.
Anyway, I suggest checking it out if, like me, you're bored and at home on a Friday night.

I have seen a couple of the shows and found them quite interesting. Quirky and definitely worth a view.

I really like Wonderfalls, which worries me. Last 5 shows I've liked on Fox Friday nights (Freakylinks, The Lone Gunmen, Dark Angel, John Doe, and Firefly) have all been cancelled in relatively short order. From what I hear, though, the show is being moved to Thursday nights. I certainly hope that move is permanent, as it will mean better chances for the show to survive.

Ugh. Thursday nights are my CBS nights... Survivor, CSI, and Without a Trace... Friday nights would be good if it would stay right after Joan of Arcadia like the pilot.. then I could watch it. If they move it.. I can't.. and I was going to check it out. Bastards

Yep.. Thursday nights at 9... crap. Now I'm sad. I'd heard it was good and wanted to check it out.

Thursdays at nine are my Mad Mad House nights. I can't miss seeing Avacado, Art, and all those other wonderful people....except Don. I don't like Don.

Yeah, I didn't think I was going to like Mad Mad House.. and then I started watching it and I kinda dig it. It amuses me. I like Art. He's my favorite out of all of them.

Yeah, Art is just such a nice guy. I like Avacado's personality and his happy character, but Art has become so peaceful and content to me. They're both cool. I think Fiona is a little high-strung at times. She kind of likes to confront people a little too harshly at times. Like, there's a friction between her and the people in the house...she's kind of sketchy in a way.

Here's a link to the original message from one of the show's executive producers, Tim Minear.

Well, guess I'm glad I didn't get to see it, so I'm not too disappointed that it vanished. It's really very disappointing to me that all the good shows vanish while all the lame comedies go on forever and ever.
Sad sad sad.
Speaking of shows that shouldn't have been cancelled.. I watched my Firefly DVD set this weekend with a friend in California.. (yes, we're that geeky.. one, two, three, press play... NOW) I loved the series when it was on the air.. I love it even more now that they played it in the correct order with all the episodes. So sad that it's gone. At least it didn't end on a cliffhanger.. but still. *mutter*

It seems every show I find intriguing gets cancelled. Either I am the kiss of death - OR - it's the lack of taste and understanding of the networks. It never fails..... I almost hate to get "into" anything - because it will surely be short-lived. Geez.

I'm so with you there..
It's becoming very, very frustrating.
I swear.. we need the Canceled Show Network that runs all the good cancelled shows and gives them a new home.
Even Andromeda, that painful Hercules in Space (don't get me wrong, I think Kevin Sorbo is kind of cool, the guy, anyway) show is getting a new lease on life on Sci Fi.
Why can't a *good* show get another chance?

I've given up on online petitions. I have yet to see a single one generate any actual results. I'm not entirely sure if there is a way to generate actual results other than to shovel money into people's pockets... but then.. that's my cynic showing.

I'd be willing to bet that it was more the strong DVD sales that brought it back than the petitions. Again.. cynical Though, that does give me some hope for Firefly, since apparently it had strong DVD sales once the series was released in a box set. I'm hoping the movie rakes in the $$ and they bring it back.

I've had the idea for a long time. Now, if someone would just shovel me bushels of money, I'd do it!

Well, as I said over in the Buffistas thread, I've been semi-working on a website for such an idea for a little bit now, need to get off my ass and pick up some decent database software and work on it some more already.  I've seen quite a few variations on this idea recently, from a lot of people outraged over the general direction television is headed in.  *shudders to think that Wonderfalls timeslot next week will be filled with a show about people who have plastic surgery and then compete in  a beauty pageant.*  The current networks seem to be alienating a lot of viewers with their current "as much reality TV as we can possibly cram into our schedule" bent.  I think there are enough people out there that this idea is quite feasible.  *drools for a moment, thinking of all the great television that could be back on the airwaves again.* Heh, a little Fanta Shokata video made by a WF fan. http://www.fanta.dk/showmovie.asp?mid=8C59D1FE-2112-4BB2-884D-E39972CFDA04

Aren't they making a Firefly movie, though?
