Alright, I guess it's time for me to work through this thing and see what I can answer.

1. I first saw FreakyLinks in my TV guide, it was replacing Roswell, which I was watching, in a midnight timeslot. I remember thinking: "What kind of weird show is that supposed to be?" But when I watched it, the show turned out to be a lot better than you'd think from the title.

2&3. I was never fooled by the site, as I saw the show first. Also, when I went to the site it was already gone. But now that it's back up I'm kind of pretending to believe it, for myself.

4. Nope, I never started my own site, and I have no desire to.

5. Toughie. Fear and Misery in Seattle was a good one. Also, the Dream Diary was excellent. I generally liked the ones where they would actually go out investigating for themselves. And anything that involved video. I'm a multimedia junkie. Smiley

6. I was never on the old boards, obviously, and here only the name you see.

7. I don't have any stories yet, my FreakyLinks days are just beginning!

8. I'm trying to think of something, but I don't think anything freaky has happened to me... yet. Who's this "Beleiver" and what happened to him?

Believer was a guy on the message boards who asked every day (and sometimes more than once) "has anything freaky happened to anyone today?" We don't know what happened to him. He must have drifted away from us...we lost wuite a few people since the site was torn down. In a way I think we're still trapped inside.

1. How didja first hear about Freakylinks?  Was watching That 70's Show and saw a preview for it.  I like Ethan and the show looked cool, so I was interested.

2. Were you 'fooled' by the site?  Actually I was a little fooled that Derek was "real". & if so,

3. ...for how long, before you found out the 'deeper truth' about Derek?   It took me an hour to figure out the "truth" about Derek.

4. Did you ever start your own Freaker site ( Like Freakyresearch, Freakopeida) ? LOL, yes I fell into that trap.  It's not open anymore though.

5. Favorite entry? I don't have one

6. How many screen-names did you use on the FL board?

7. Best story from your Freakylinks days-- doesn;t have to be related to freakylinks...    :-/

Lastly....

8. "Has anything freaky happened to anyone today"... (remember Beleiver?)  This man bumped into me today, and looked at me like I was an alien.  Like he saw something I couldn't see.  lol

Well, I've already introduced myself, but I guess this is a quick way to tell you all a little something about me.  Cool

1. How didja first hear about Freakylinks?
I found the site first.  I'm very into Cryptozoology and the paranormal and was killing time at work.

2. Were you 'fooled' by the site?
Absolutely.  I wondered at first, but the sheer volume of information made me think it was more than a prank.

3. ...for how long, before you found out the 'deeper truth' about Derek?
I figured it out shortly after I heard about the show.  I wondered seriously for a couple days even then, however. Smiley

4. Did you ever start your own Freaker site ( Like Freakyresearch, Freakopeida)
Not til now.  As I mentioned in my intro post, I'm the new editor for the Freakylinks guide over at TVTome.  But I pretty much dropped out of the Freaker scene after the site died.

5. Favorite entry
Has to be the whole Seattle trip.  Wild stuff (I just showed that clip to my gf last night and she reacted the same way I did when I first saw it  Grin ).

6. How many screen-names did you use on the FL board?
Just the one.  Same one I use now, in fact.  I don't think I posted much of any merit, however.

7. Best story from your Freakylinks days-- doesn;t have to be related to freakylinks...
Perhaps just the fact that I spent quite a long time convincing some of my friends that this was a legitimate site.  Let's just say that there were some... awkward conversations when I found out that it wasn't. Smiley

Lastly....

8. "Has anything freaky happened to anyone today"... (remember Beleiver?)
I'm at work, so... of course!  Just nothing more freaky than usual.  The day isn't over however...

1. How didja first hear about Freakylinks?
I started watching Day One because I am an Ethan Embry fan!  Smiley

2. Were you 'fooled' by the site? & if so,
Um, sorta.  I thought (and sometimes still think!) the researched stories were/are real.

3. ...for how long, before you found out the 'deeper truth' about Derek?
Oh, well, I always figured it wasn't "Derek Barnes" writing all that.  Wink

4. Did you ever start your own Freaker site ( Like Freakyresearch, Freakopeida)
No...but I do sign my online journal "Hurdy gur!"

5. Favorite entry
I couldn't pick one.  Derek's Dream Diary still sticks with me...the first time I saw the page of The Harbingers all drawn on, I jumped six feet out of my chair!

6. How many screen-names did you use on the FL board?
Just one...the same one I use here, now.  I'm shocked I could get it again!

7. Best story from your Freakylinks days-- doesn;t have to be related to freakylinks...
Watching "3:13" with my sister and my mom and screaming like a little girl.  I watch it now and I'm like, "Yeah, it wasn't so scary!"  *lol*

Lastly....

8. "Has anything freaky happened to anyone today"... (remember Beleiver?)
Heh.  Not today.  But I'm sick, so I haven't left the house yet.

1. How didja first hear about Freakylinks?
Like many others the, the television commercial, which we all know is a government conspiracy of its own.

2. Were you 'fooled' by the site?
I was fooled.  I got most of my enjoyment out of figuring out which stuff on the site was real and which stuff wasn't.  I thought that is what we freakers were doing.  Figuring out how to prove one way or another if Nessy,  crop circles, raining frogs and fishes, ghosts and stuff like that is real.

3. ...for how long, before you found out the 'deeper truth' about Derek?
I think I knew from the start he was an actor, it really didn't matter to me one way or another it was the information and the stories that were fun.

4. Did you ever start your own Freaker site ( Like Freakyresearch, Freakopeida)
Yes, I think the answer is yes.  I opened up a chat room, later turned it over to Spacey.

5. Favorite entry
Freaky Feet, a picture of MY freaky feet were post on the site. I think that was the extent of my fifteen minutes.

6. How many screen-names did you use on the FL board?
I had one main name is used.  If I wanted to say something by some other name to throw something out there, I would get a name for day to a week, then I would forget the password and just go back to same old me.

7. Best story from your Freakylinks days-- doesn;t have to be related to freakylinks...
The day I counted over two hundred chatters in the chat room.  I can't remember if it was before or after Spacey put the cool banner across the top calling it Freaky Fever.

8. "Has anything freaky happened to anyone today"... (remember Beleiver?)
Yes, I absolutely remember believer.  I t;hink we decided he was a computer generated program.  But, it was comforting to see it there.

1. How didja first hear about Freakylinks?---Saw the advertisements on Fox, was a huge Blair Witch fan So I decided to check it out.

2. Were you 'fooled' by the site? & if so,--nope not fooled, but thought the site was very cool

3. ...for how long, before you found out the 'deeper truth' about Derek?---never found out the deeper truth

4. Did you ever start your own Freaker site ( Like Freakyresearch, Freakopeida)--nope

5. Favorite entry--hmmmmmm

6. How many screen-names did you use on the FL board?----I think I only had one

7. Best story from your Freakylinks days-- doesn;t have to be related to freakylinks...---once again....hmmmm

Lastly....

8. "Has anything freaky happened to anyone today"... (remember Beleiver?)----let me see, I got out of class early because my teacher was acting strange, now I have narrowed it down to a few possibilities,  1) prof, is an alien and couldnt be out in the rain  2) possibly had to get home to make sure the people inhis basement were still tied up so that he could offer them up as a sacrafice to a bigfoot/swampman type hybrid....and 3rd) he probably just had the runs.
