It isn't very often that something inspires me to write. Heck, even when I was a rabid X-file fan back in the day, I didn't write one fanfic, inspired by the series (but I did write term papers, my first year of college, back in '99)...  Man I'm such a dork! But anyway...

For the first time, in a long while, I finally felt inspired to start writing again. And so, for the past two months, I've been writing a Freaky Links  fan fiction story that takes place in an abandoned mental hospital in Massachusetts, entitled: Subject: The Vortex  Originally, I had started writing this story, with the intention of making it a straight forward haunted asylum story, but it quickly took on a life of its own, becoming, well, something else...heavy and dark at times... I have about two to three more chapters left to publish, but If anyone's interested in what I've got so far, here's the link.

I have to warn everyone though, this story gets pretty dark and heavy at times. I hope nobody has a weak stomach. Also, I've been writing this story, in between studying for my classes (yes, I've been a bad girl, but I couldn't help it! the FL bug bit me, hard). Hope you all find it interesting.

Wow Seriously ?     Yea sure! I'm glad you like it that much...

Like I said earlier, it's not finished yet. I'll need to add, two to three chapters... I was in the middle of writing the current chapter last night, when I started getting stuck. I'm still trying to get a feel for how each character behaves and speaks...There were some parts in the story where I was alittle nervous, that I made Derek appear too weak 1) in the morgue when he  sort of cried after rescuing the girls, and 2) in the lobby when they found that 'Lamb to the Slaughter' message.... also I was hoping that I handled Derek and Lan's "tender moment" appropriately.

But yea sure, Mondo, go right ahead

lol Thank you FreakCentral, I'm working on the current chapter right now, since my studying's going decent...  This story is LITERALLY writing itself     I'm kind of nervous but excited at the same time.   I just hope I didn't freak people out with the one cliffhanger ( between Derek and the middle-aged man a.k.a. Dawson).

Oh! and just for fun  readers should play the youtube clips of the FreakyLinks opening credits (wherever they're written) as well as check out some of the songs listed in the story (ex. the song: "Yes I'm Ready" listed in the beginning of Part II) I thought that song really added to the creepiness, as well as the feeling of tragedy and loss at the old asylum...

Oh! thought I should let readers know...this story still isn't finished yet... I do need two more chapters. I'm half-way finished with the current one, but I really need to put in some study time, for the next couple hours before I finish it. Thanks everybody for being patient and understanding...

Story update: I'm still working on the last chapter...I have part of it written, but I keep getting interrupted by family members...  grrrrrrrr!!!  So, I will try to have Subject: The Vortex finished soon. It also doesn't help that I have two more story ideas, breaking my concentration... But yea, just thought I'd let everyone know, who's interested.

 Honest, I really did! Those entries made me smile, because I could actually picture Derek saying things like that It was really sweet. I thought the "Nice Hair" entry was especially cute

Okay all this talk about fanfic and Derek entry journals has me thinking that, maybe we can get something going on freakylinks.tv with new journal entries and stories. If you are up to it? I would like to see some original content on the site but I cannot do it all by myself. So in other words... what I really am saying.... I need HELP! If anyone is interested in providing fresh content, please let me know.
