Just out of curiosity.... Aren't 'Freakylinks.com' and 'freakylinks' part of the copyrighted material that Fox owns?
Space, I don't think that's exactly how the internet works. When FOX gave up the rights to the domain name that was the end of their ownership of that particular real estate on the 'net.
Is there any way to-- oh, I dunno-- agree to buy it, set up a payment plan-- then before making the first payment, convince Fox to sue them for copyright infringement for trying to profit on Fox's intellectual property?
If said owners had a character blogging about the strange and unusual at that domain name and selling Spring Heel Jack logo t-shirts then you might have a case. As it stands there's not an eyeball logo to be found. Also remember that once you unleash something like copyright infringement, who knows where FOX's gaze may fall? Probably on some of the hard earned fan efforts to compensate for FOX's disinterest in their own property.
