Sunday’s screening and discussion of the moving documentary When Pigs Fly was fantastic.
The event was completely sold out. Lory (barefoot in her wheelchair), Charlene, and most of the family were present at the screening, and the discussion session after was very emotional. People were inspired by Lory’s life story, and many were angered by some of the Worker’s Comp issues raised in the film.
The presence of a CSX lawyer in the audience only served to ratchet up the tension during the discussion.

Man, the Cronin video racked up 199 views! I knew he was a superstar, but I had no idea Cronin-mania had reached such a fever-pitch of intensity!
Check this video out and try to stay awake as Gregg and I try to stay awake and answer questions about the post process of the film. A lot of face touching on this one.
Look, we were tired as shit at this point. I was homesick and Halesick and Hale was Sanchezsick, I’m sure.

Some cool developments last week on a script I just finished called SEVENTH MOON that we hope to shoot in China. Hopefully we’ll be able to talk about that really soon.

My friends Eric Breitenbach and Phyllis Redman recently completed an absolute stunner of a documentary called When Pigs Fly. It’s an incredibly moving portrait of a quadriplegic woman who lives with and cares for over 700 pigs. Now on the festival circuit, check the website for any screenings near you — this one is not to be missed.
The Blair Witch Project is now available for download from the iTunes Store. I doubt anyone will get motion sickness from watching it on their 2.5″ video iPod screen, so I recommend viewing it on a bus, train, or plane to get the full effect.
Just when you thought we had run out of ALTERED BTS videos, here comes another BTS video for ALTERED.
No fancy stuff on this one, just the great David Cluck guiding us through the age-old tradition of making a toast and drinking champagne to bring the production good luck. Judging by what happened with our film, this may be the last time I do this shit on one of my films!

Anyway, I’m here in Orlando this week running camera for my friend Christian Gueverra’s film TOM AND MARLO, starring Mike Williams. Mike and I just got back from the shoot and I’m tired as shit, but the film is going really well and it’s good practice for me since I’m thinking about running camera on my own film really soon. But first I’ve got to finish that damn script.
Anyway, peace to all the boys and girls out there and don’t worry, there can’t be that many more of these damn ALTERED BTS videos left, right? Jesus.
