Get off my back, Monello! Here's your damn post!

Hey! People of the HAXAN site! Lend me your ears! Mike has been hounding me like the greasy, Italian hound dog that he is to put something up so here I go. Been busy. Real busy. We sent out the treatment for the BLAIR WITCH PREQUEL to LION’S GATE yesterday. 9 pages of dark-ass horror set in 1786 about the origin of the legend. Good shit. We’re all pretty happy with the way it turned out and think that it’ll make a really scary script and film. The townspeople of BLAIR really get hammered in this one. It’s brutal but hell…they all deserve it for what they do to Elly. Now it’s in LION’S GATE'S hands. We’re really hoping they dig it. Working with Dan Karcher on getting FREEBUS MILKEN up with the new design. Should be ready for launch in April. Dan is doing a crazy good job on it and he’s updated the MAKING OF BLAIR WITCH with an incredible new design. We’re also going to put that section up on a new site called WOODSMOVIE.COM. If anyone remembers, the Woods Movie is what Dan Myrick and I used to call Blair Witch back in the early days when we were both young and restless and needed to unwind. Back in the early 90’s, when Dan had frosted hair and I used to tuck my shirt into my tight shorts all the time. What a couple of tools sheds we were. Anyway, WOODSMOVIE is going to be cool and we are going to keep adding junk Dan K. is also working on manabal'wak. That thing is going to be cool, even though, like everything, it’s taking a lot longer to complete than I thought. manabal’wak is not a movie (yet) but a web-only experience from a script written by MARK EATON and me. It’s coming out really great and I can’t even imagine what Dan is going to do with it now that he has some images to work with. He’s going to knock my tube socks off for sure! We hope to debut manabal’wak in the early summer. Headed to LA next week to help Dan Myrick out with THE STRAND-VENICE, CA. I think him and I are going to be running the cameras together so it should be a pretty interesting experience. I can’t wait to get in there and make something, man! Working with chisel-faced robotic is just icing on the cake. Him and I are going to rock hard on this sucker and pump out a real gem, if you know what I’m saying. The shooting, the back-rubs, the long walks on the beach; it’s going to be a great two weeks of fun! I just finished a new horror sci-fi script called PROBED with a writer named JAMIE NASH. He’s a good guy who is almost as goofy as me and writes like a demon. We’re shopping the script around but are also getting ready to go indie with it. Should be fun. We love the damn script. It’s a hell of a ride. My Star Wars collection is going well. Kind of slowed down a bit lately since I’ve realized that I’ve GOT TO MAKE ANOTHER F**KING MOVIE really soon but I always find time to open up EBAY and see what I can find. You others out there with similar addictions know what I mean. Anyway, this is getting really lame so word up to everyone and keep your eyes glued to this site because good things are going to happen this year! I’ll keep you updated on all the PREQUEL news. Let’s hope there’s a lot more to report. Peace and love to all my Haxan butt-buddies!

Congratulations to our friends at Juicy Temples!

Some of you know that I share office space with Juicy Temples Creative. So I waltz in this morning and immediately notice something different about everyone -- they all appeared more attractive than usual. Seriously. They are, under normal circumstances, an attractive group of people -- the Annual Juicy Temples Pinup Poster is the hottest promotional item released each year, second only to the Pirelli Calendar, but this morning they just looked extra attractive. My first thought was maybe they all hit the SuperCuts this weekend. I mean, they don't usually groom collectively, but after seeing the kind of teamwork they put into tearing up the pizza bar at Cici's I know that anything is possible around here. I was just about to say something when I saw them -- A WHOLE PILE OF AWARDS! Indeed it was the rich amber glow cast about the room by FOUR GOLD ADDY AWARDS and ONE SILVER ADDY providing light so magical it would make Charlize Theron in full "Monster" make-up sexy! Big congratulations to everyone for their amazing work! And if the news couldn't get any better, one of those ADDYs was for their poster to Gregg's new film, Say Yes Quickly! Visit the Juicy Temples website and send them good wishes. While you're there, ask Klaus to post up that digginlillies song from The Blair Witch Project that he's been promising us forever!
